Unattached / Independent Participants

 

The State Award is no longer able to offer registration to Independent participants under the current National licensing arrangements. Correnspondence has been sent to existing Independent participants by registered mail. As some of the addresses may not be current, it is essential that any Independent participants contact the state award office as soon as possible.

 

Need to buy or hire equipment?

 

 

The following items are available for hire from the State Award Committee -

5 x Wanderer 3-people tent

5 x Frontier 3-people tent

1 x Magnum 8/10 people tent (with a post)

(All with flies)

2 x Backpacks

 

Phone the State Award Office on (03) 62241100 for information on conditions of hire and to make arrangements for transport of the equipment.

 

(Money to purchase this equipment was kindly provided by the Rotary Club of Deloraine)

 

For other equipment, contact Mountain Creek in Hobart who give good deals on equipment to people involved with the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.


Fee Changes

 

The initial registration and renewal fees have been replaced with an annual fee of $50 which will cover the following:

- Registration

- Personal accident and public liability insurance premiums

- Record book

- Certificate and badge on Award completion

- Administration costs

- Presentation ceremony costs

 

Registered Operator Fees:

The State Award Committee has increased Registered Operating Group fees as at 1st January 2005. The new fee structure will be as follows:

Initial Joining Fee:

Schools & Peak Youth/Community Groups $125.00
Tri-service Cadets Peak Body $125.00
Local Youth/Community Groups $75.00

Annual Renewal Fee:

Schools & Peak Youth/Community Groups $100.00
Tri-service Cadets Peak Body $100.00
Local Youth/Community Groups $50.00
