Manufacturer: UHA (confectionery) / Kaiyodo (Toy figure) Release Date: Notes: The third Chocolasaurus (or Dinotales) series included 24 figures plus a "secret" figure. The figures were again designed and created under the direction of Matsumura Shinobu, who had already received much acclaim for his Choco Egg figures that had been released by Kaiyodo. The Chocolasaurus figures were released in a prism-shaped box that contained the figures themselves in unassembled form together with an explanatory sticker and a series paper, all contained inside an opaque polyethylene bag. There were also four or five small chocolate drops packaged together, and these were all enclosed in a prism-shaped cardboard box. The secret item in Chocolasaurus Series 3 was a Tyrannosaurus. Early fossil discoveries of the Tyrannosaurus led palaentologists to the assumption that the Tyrannosaurus was shorter in length than subsequent discoveries showed. As a result of later discoveries, theories about the Tyrannosaurus' size were revised. This secret animal shows the Tyrannosaurus as it was originally thought to look after the initial fossil finds. |
