This series features 21 animals from Africa (20 animals plus a secret animal). The toy figures include one or two adult animals and their young.

The figures were sold in boxes together with some sherbet-type sweets called "ramune", and a card that included a photograph, some information on the animal and assembly instructions. There was also a full-colour leaflet conaining a checklist (in Japanese) and a diorama howing all normal figures in the series. The leaflet also contained instructions on how to submit entries to win one of three different types of mini dioramas for displaying some of the figures in the collection.
