The identification of this Daniel Brown as Mary Burbury nee Brown's brother is tentative at this stage. There is plenty of circumstantial evidence that suggests it, but at this stage there is unfortunately no proof.
There is some conflict in information regarding Daniel's date of birth. On his marriage certificate, his age in 1845 is given as 35, which would put his year of birth at about 1810. However, the Tombstones and Monumental Inscriptions of Tasmania (TAMIOT) states that he was 87 when he died in 1886, which would put his year of birth at 1799. S176  S367  S590
