Mary's sister Maria married Daniel's brother Alfred, so that two brothers married two sisters.
Daniel and Mary had no children of their own. Daniel seems to have been a bit unbalanced, and eventually the two separated. After the separation, Mary lived in Evandale, and later moved to Launceston. When Maria did at the age of 30, Mary raised Alfred and Maria's four children.
