The purpose of this website is to give an overview of the research I have carried out into the BURBURY surname.

Surname spellings often changed over time, and so it is impossible to restrict research such as this to the one spelling of the surname. Accordingly, my research has also taken into consideration the spellings of BURBERY, BURBERRY, BURBOROUGH, BURBEARY, BOURBERY and many more besides.

Note that the purpose of this site is more of a guide to my research. Most of the information provided here is in the form of summaries. Moreover, I no longer publish searchable family trees online. It was just too problematic in several ways, the biggest problem being that it was far too time-consuming to maintain.

However, I'm still very keen to continue updating the various family trees and to assist people with their own trees.
