For a long time now (more than 10 years at least), I have used this website to publish the results of my research into the BURBURY / BURBERY / BURBERRY surname. However, I have now decided to scale it back considerably. I have made this decision because there are a few people out there who do the right thing, but a majority who do the wrong thing. The wrong thing being people who rip off the hard work of others and present it as their own. I did have one case recently where someone took the trouble to fix their own data to correctly acknowledge me as their source, but such shows of decency are rare.

At this point in time, I've removed *all* of the site's content. The links in the menu bar at left have been disabled. Gradually I will put some very limited content back on, mainly restricted to summaries of the various families and maybe lists of some of the resources I have available. The comprehensive family trees which I have compiled, the primary sources which I have transcribed and the original articles which I have written, will no longer be freely available.
