Scott says the following about his truck.....

The bodywork is stock. It has a non-original, but correct 4-port 13B. It's lowered slightly;
aftermarket (crappy) wheels, Addco swaybars; RB header, and RB air cleaner assembly. This sound and styling is unique..... I love this truck! . BTW, I'm the third owner. The original owner's name is Charlie Brown!

The following in an extract of the email he sent to me about the above truck.

Here's a bit about my truck:
Since Mazda only made the Rotary Trucks for only 3 yrs. & only for the U.S.
market, you're probably not too familiar with the rotary trucks. I was very
fortunate to have this truck given to me by the original owner. It was
absolutely complete with the manual in the glove box, and the original spare.
The guy hadn't driven it much, but over time the apex seals got brittle, so
it started to smoke (and he couldn't find any mechanic who would touch a
three point distributor with trailing & leading wires mounted to a beer keg
with the plugs all on one side). Since the truck was parked before the miles
were racked up, and it was used as a junk hauler, it was in excellent shape,
aside from a rusted out exhaust and a weak 13-B.
Since there's only a handful of these trucks left, and the original trucks
are even rarer, I decided to keep this one pretty much original, except for
the seats (from an Audi 5000) the steering wheel (mahogany/aluminum). The
engine is the correct 13-B, but not the original (I got a sweet deal on a 35k
mile 1985 13-B). I put in electronic ignition (of course) and used the stock
manifold & rebuilt the orig. carb. For a solid, free flowing exhaust, I have
a Racing Beat header, presilencer & Power Pulse muffler. It works very well
without it being raspy like a hive of bees when I get on it.
I understand that I haven't come close to what I can do with this engine (I
spoke with a guy in Texas who has a supercharged 13-B truck that can smoke a
2nd generation RX-7) but this setup is totally reliable in hot & cold
extremes, as well as long idles & hard accelleration. It's good for me,
since I use the truck for hauling my bike, wood, building materials, etc.

You've got to admit, this is a pretty cool truck ( or ute if you are Australian like me )

These things sound to be very rare worldwide, and virtually unheard of in Australia.

Got any pics ??  send em' in ..
