The unique Federation home was built by Mr.
George Dinham at the turn of the century and has remained in the
same family. The house and garden are classified by the
National Trust and listed on the register of the National Estate,
and are of particular interest for those interested in historic
homes.
Today, Anabel's of Scottsdale features a restaurant, a
reception centre and motel-style accommodation.
The two
dining rooms overlook a beautiful old-world garden
featuring huge rhododendron trees. Select from a first-class
menu featuring some of Tasmania's world famous fresh produce and
wines.
The quality, motel-style units have been recently
built in sympathy with the Federation style of the home. Each unit
is fully equipped with all modern comforts. Some units have cooking
facilities.
Anabel's of Scottsdale is just one hour from
Launceston amidst some of Tasmania's most beautiful
scenery.

feature of the north-east and offer walks in magnificent scenery
including Cuckoo Falls and Springfield Forest Reserve. The beaches
of Bridport are also only fifteen minutes drive from Scottsdale.
